Speech

Speech refers to the individual sounds that make up words. Children develop speech sounds over time building from only a handful of sounds to all 44 sounds of the English language. Sometimes, however, speech can be challenging for children to develop and as parents you may notice it's hard to understand your child's speech or they have very few sounds as compared to their peers. In these instances an assessment may be of benefit.
Comprehensive Speech Evaluation
Our comprehensive speech evaluations are tailored to assess various aspects of your child's speech development. Using standardised assessments and language samples, we identify specific areas of concern and possible goals for intervention.
Intervention
We will work with you and your child to set goals and provide evidence based intervention strategies to improve your child's ability to produce sounds accurately in order to enhance their overall communication. Our interventions are individualised and family centred so you can support your child at home.
We support children with phonological speech sound disorders/delays, articulation disorders, lisps, and childhood apraxia of speech.
