Language
Children typically start speaking around 1 year of age and progress to combining 2 words before the age of two, through to reasonably complex sentences before starting school. Children tend to show understanding of words long before they utter their first words, however, for some children, developing an understanding of spoken language can be challenging. Some children appear to understand language well but struggle to express themselves using words.
If you have concerns about your child's language skills, we offer assessment and intervention targeting language development.

Comprehensive Language Assessment

We use standardised and play-based assessments to evaluate your child's language skills, including comprehension, expressive language abilities, and pragmatic language skills. Our assessments help identify specific areas of weakness and strengths in your child's language development.

Individualised Therapy Plans

Based on the assessment results, we create personalized therapy plans tailored to address your child's specific language difficulties. We encourage families to be actively involved so they can facilitate language development at home through everyday activities and interactions. Parental involvement is integral to maximizing the effectiveness of therapy and supporting long-term progress.
